A stony beach. Coming from Australia I used to always scoff at the idea of pebble beaches and wondered how could they even be described as beaches? I mean, the Australian coastline is second to none, in my humble opinion..... But this was beautiful and changed my mind about pebble beaches forever. The stones were incredible. The wind was blowing a gale and it was cool, windy, salty and fresh. A very beautiful place. And we made our first pebble castle!! Plus, no sand in your bottom (and everywhere else) at the end of the day. What's not to love?!
I could have stayed here all day. There were countless formations to find in the stones. The eastern coast of Taiwan is stunning. The mountains come right to the sea. It's really so beautiful.

Can I come with you??
ReplyDeleteAre Tills and Evielyn enjoying Nanny and Poppy's company?
How is Poppy?

I love that beach. I too used to scoff at the idea of a pebble beach, but the beach in Hualien completely converted me. For all of your same reasons. I'd love to go back there.
ReplyDeleteI've always preferred pebble beaches!
ReplyDeleteEtts, the kids are loving Nan and Pop's company. Nan and Pop are doing well. And you may indeed come with us one day.... I'll bring you back here shall I? Congrats on your awards recently xo
ReplyDeleteKristie, lets go sometime, family trip. Was so lovely. More photos to come.
Paula, you know of course, I'd never been to a pebble beach. Just had it in my mind they weren't worth visiting. How wrong was I! But what are they like in the real hot weather?
